Remy Remembers (“Remy”, “we”, “us”) is a document reminder assistant, a product of Geniora Solutions. You can reach us at [email protected]. If you have any question about your data, that address reaches a real person.
What this policy covers
How we handle your information when you use Remy on WhatsApp or our website.
The information we process
- •Your WhatsApp number and the name you give us.
- •Details read from documents you send, such as document type, expiry date, document number and the name on the document.
- •The names and relationships of family members you choose to add.
- •Secure access tokens that let Remy save to and read from your own cloud drive.
- •Basic usage records needed to run the service and keep it secure.
What we do not keep
We do not store your actual document files. They are saved in your own cloud drive. We hold only a reference so Remy can fetch a file when you ask.
How we protect what we do store
Your Google access tokens and document numbers are encrypted at rest, so this data is not readable as plain text even from a copy of our database. Connections between you, Remy and your Drive are encrypted in transit.
Why we process it (legal basis)
We rely on your consent, which you give when you connect Remy and send a document. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your data.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service: Meta (WhatsApp messaging), Google (your Drive storage and the AI that reads documents), and, if you ever pay for a plan, a payment provider. Each processes data only to provide its part of the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as you use Remy. When you delete your data, we remove your details promptly. Files in your own drive remain under your control.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. Where that happens, we rely on our providers' standard safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, or receive a copy. Message Remy “delete my data”, or email [email protected].
Children
Remy is for adults managing documents, including their family's. It is not intended for independent use by children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and, where appropriate, tell you in WhatsApp.
